I am Guest Designer Today over at Tuesday Treats....Victorian Note Card Purse

I am pretty proud of my first Cake!

Not bad for my first attempt. I used the icing sheets for this one as I needed a demo cake for the store for tomorrow. Though I can not do the demo it will help Dana out I hope. After the weekend I will replace the butterfly with a 3d gumpaste one. I just did not have the time today for that. I hope you like it. Thanks for loooking.

Cake update 2

Ok my fake cake is covered in fondant thank you Jen and I am ready to get decorating. I bought a pasta machine for rolling out my gumpaste thinner and it seems to make it a bit easier to flatten. I hope to post the finished product by the weekend.

Cake Update 1

ok I tried out my cake machine. I need to find the right consistency for the gum paste that in it self has a learning curve. But when I used the icing sheets....I got perfect cuts the first time out. Easy as can be. I will have the chance to spend more time with it this week.

Happy National Scrapbooking Day...What will you be doing today?

I will be teaching 2 wonderful classes today at ACMoore and this morning I finally have the time to try out my new Cricut Cake. I am so excited to get started. I will keep you updated on my experience with her later on tonight. BTW we got the cake machines and supplies in the store yesterday. Happy scrapping!

I can't wait to break into the box when it arrives. I have my gum past already to color. Oh but tomorrow I need to go get my shortening. I have so many ideas swirling in my head already for class projects. Have you seen the images on the elegant cakes cartridge? They will be perfect for scrap pages too!
