I LOVE! My Imagine

My little DD needed a plain sweatshirt for a winter show last weekend. I thought hmmmmm I want to spruce it up a bit since the show is over lets see what my Imagine and my snow friends cartridge can do. Little dd picked this out. I love how the Imagine printed and cut the iron on transfer paper. I also used my Irock for a little bling bling.

Walmart was nuts but I got my Lites!

I was out all night starting at Walmart at 10 waiting for the lites to go on sale. I got them and Jolly Holidays and Twinkle Toes are cuter than I had expected. I talked lots of people in line into coming toACMoore to get their expression bundles and full carts and they did! I finished all of my shopping for the holidays so now I can just craft December away. I hope you all had as much success as I did.

Cricut Imagine Demo December 5th 8-10pm

Hi there I will be demoing the Cricut Imagine machine at ACMoore in Frederick MD on December 5 from 8-10pm. We will be doing a make and take along with it. We will be making some simple gift tags from the Snow Angels cartridge. While I was making some tags I also thought hmmmm...... a gift box to put them in. I used the TBBM matchbox and colored it with the Snow Angels cart to make them match, a 3-d pointsettia on top and Viola! Quick, simple and practical from the Imagine.

See you there!

Here is the cards I have been wanting to make. All pieces were cut with the Imagine. This will go even better once the Gypsy can cut with color.
The baby frame I made made as a store display. We used a scrap piece of mat and it was great. I took the mat home and adjusted the color and paper pattern backround to work together. It came out pretty good I think.

I took the plunge and did the Gypsy and Imagine update.....

Ok if you have followed along when I first got my first Imagine machine I did the update and it blew my mother board. So they sent me a new one and I have been petrified to do the update on it. So Chris from provo announced this morning it was safe to go in the water. I did and I have to say YIPEEEEEEE! I finally get to make the card I have wanted to make since I got the machine. And now she is fully compatable with my Gypsy. Life is Great right now. I will be crafting all night to see just what this baby can do.

Don't forget starting tomorrow connect your Gypsy ot the sync to get the 6 free cartridges one of my favorites TBBM is on the download.

I was excited to get my email the other day. Provo Craft gave me and only 99 other people the opportunity Thursday to sneak peek the download with smiley cards cart. That cart is adorable. It has emotioncons just like my phone and IM do. They are stinkin cute! I love some of the envelopes on there too. Absolutely another great card cart from cricut and its free if you already have your Gypsy.

New Classes Added

Due to the popularity of the 3-d ornament class and the cards with movement class I have added another time slot. See 2 posts below for additional times and samples

My New Imagine Arrived

I am thrilled my new machine got here safe and sound. Provo Craft has always been good to me and this time was no different. I sent it back on a Thursday...they called me on Friday to tell me I would see it on Monday and I did. She works perfectly. She still won't read some of the newer cartridges but hopefully that will be worked out soon.

There will be an update for the Imagine and the Gypsy on Oct. 18th Facebook said and below is what it will include.

1. Edge to Edge printing (Imagine only update)- Full bleed (may leave a small boarder on your paper depending on how well it is aligned)- Overspray: this will print just beyond the edge of the paper leaving a bit of ink on your mat which can easily be rinsed out with warm water – this assures a full bleed.PHASE 1 Gypsy/Imagine Compatibility1. Allows you to cut your classic Cricut Cartridges with Cricut Imagine using Gypsy (no printing using Gypsy, yet)2. Cricut Imagine and Gypsy bug fixes: this will be standard with most upgrades to ensure you have the best experience with your machines.3. No special Gypsy design features with Imagine content (like welding, stretching, etc.), just yet.More information will be released about future updates (release dates and update details) when appropriate.

I will not do the update right away. I will wait a bit and see if any unknown glitches occur.

New Projects Posted at the store

Hi everyone. Well the next chapter in my Imagine saga is .....she got shipped back today and my replacement should be here Friday. Now before you gasp, I had to send back my first original baby bug way back when for a glitch in it's system. I am glad I stayed positive and kept an open mind. Can you imagine where my crafting would be if I gave up then? I did not give in then and I won't now. I love my bugs and my new projects will show you how much.

I as usual forgot to take pictures before taking them to the store to post so I will get them up soon. But here are the dates and class times.

November 13, 2010 2:30-5:30 Cricut Thanksgiving Layout

Imagine Update needed

I hope they do the update soon to the Imagine. I don't know what I was thinking.....it is like a Gypsy in a way. Since the new Holiday Limited Carts juat came out the Imagine does not read them yet. I was all excited for an idea I had with the new Christmas card cart and the Imagine more cart. I plugged both carts in the other day and boom. Nothing it says I need to update. So I am alittle bummed while I wait to try out my idea and the fact that new carts have to be added to the machine itself to work....so I would not choose this as my only cricut. If you have another cricut don't let it go to just buy the Imagine. Right now their ae cartridge limitations. That being said I do love it and have no regrets buying it. I was just caught by surprise.

Cricut "Imagine" Very cool indeed.

I am so excited! My new Cricut Imagine was delivered late Friday and I was working both Friday eve and all day Saturday so I had to wait to play. After getting home last night around 9, I decieded to crack open the box (thanks Stacey for helping to hold the box) and not wait until morning. I am so glad I did. What a cool machine!!! It took me about 20 minutes to set her up and get her updated, then I got to play. I just goofed around with a couple of quick little projects just to get the feel for it. It was pretty easy and they came out great. Love the touch screen. My Bazzill cs I ordeded will not be here til Monday but I had some CTMH 12x12 daisy white cs that worked beautifuly on my cuts.

This machine I tell you is huge and heavy. Not one you will bring with you to class. Too heavy to be portable. We will learn together on the store machine when it arrives for demoing.

A moment to reflect...then back to crafting

I always knew I wanted to be a mom someday. When that day finally came I had no idea what it would really feel like. 14 years ago my life changed forever. I realized what the definition of unconditional love meant. I was truly blessed by god, for he gave me the opportunity to become a mother to the BEST daughter anyone could ever ask for. My email signature reads "nothing is better than being a mom" and for me nothing is. I thank god for my children everyday. Happy Birthday honey, here's to another great year!

Okay, Little freaked out here! Earthquake in MD

Something I never though I would feel and quite honestly don't want to feel again. We had a 3.6 magnitude earthquake in Maryland this morning. It felt like the ground was moving under our house. Everything shook and rumbled. No damage no injuries thankfully. I am just freaked and so is my son (lucky he felt it too, so I know I am not nuts). My hubby though I was crazy until I made him go check it out himself. Just wanted to share. Have a peaceful day everyone.

Sweet Simple Mini Albums, SSPT July Challenge

I love summer! I have plenty of time to craft as well as play with my kids. This month the SSPT challenge was flowers and bling. I saw this Bobunny paper at the store and knew what I was making. The flowers were made from the Sizzix 3-d flower die. I used perals, and alot of the glimmer mist I got at the Great American Scrapbook Convention in June. I also used my new Cinch. It is so much easier to use than my blue BIA. I am glad I switched.

These mini albums will be a class I am adding at the store as I have had many requests for non cricut classes. This class will be September 4th 9:30-12:30 once I get the September schedule posted.

Christina did a video on how to use this die http://www.creationswithchristina.com/2010/06/3d-flowers.html it was as easy as it looks.

SSPT DT "Stiches" Challenge

For my Stiches challenge I was sew excited to finally use this House Mouse stamp I had gotten not too long ago. I had sew much fun coloring it this morning. I used Bobunny "Sophie" cardstock, PTI cardstock, Nestabilities and of course my Copics. My daughters had to color with me too. My older one did the Harry Hopper on the top left, my 6 year old did all the others. She insists on putting smiles on her Tildas. It has been a great crafting day so far, and it has only just begun.

Happy Fathers Day to all you wonderful dads out there.

Just taking a moment to appreciate the wonderful husband I have today. My son is taking my husband to the driving range later. He is trying to share in my husbands love for golf. Then tonight big BBQ time. He is the best dad, and for that I am thankful! Happy Fathers Day Hunny!

Cricut Lite Carts Cupcake Wrappers

There is a new line of Cricut cartridges only available at your local Walmarts. I got the Cupcake Wrappers Cartridge shipped to me by a wonderful new friend Kristin from the Cricut MB. I love this cart. I whipped this up this morning for our dance teacher as a thank you for after acting recital today. I rolled a gift card inside the sock. (thanks "Greenbean" for the sock cupcake idea.) I hope you like this. They are super easy to make.
